The Main Library’s Film & Audio Department houses nearly 40,000 slides, the remnants of a larger collection assembled in the days before Google image searches. Most of the slides circulate individually but quite a few of them are packaged in sets that also include scripts – they are of course just perfect for church groups, lodge meetings, boring family gatherings, and boring your family gatherings.
I recently rediscovered a lost script hiding under a pile of unused slide carousels. Like the other scripts, it’s a collection of typewritten pages bound into a cardboard cover. This one has the stirring title of
“PENNSYLVANIA…..LAND OF PLENTY” (1965)
