Encyclopedic!

When you think of encyclopedias, you probably think of this:

Would you like to see Britannia rule again, my friend?

That would be our old friend, the trusty Encyclopedia Britannica. And while it is a fine piece of work, there are some questions out there that it just can’t answer.

This is why any library worth its salt (a.k.a. this one) carries a stunning, bewildering, and occasionally hilarious variety of specialty encyclopedias. Please enjoy these fine examples.

And that is just the tip of a very large iceberg.

Some of these encyclopedias are circulating (you can check them out), though many of them are reference (not allowed to play outside of the library). But all of them were lovingly chosen by our crack team of librarians just for you.
